Arrest Scribe Mode

Arrest Scribe Mode: a cardiac arrest timer and log

Every shock, recorded.

Timers, doses and rhythms, logged as you go. A stopwatch and event log for a cardiac arrest: it records what the team does and computes nothing.

How it works

  1. The clock at the top of the screen: time in the cycle, total time, shocks given and time since each drug

    The cycle clock

Two-minute cycles and the total time, with a chime at each two-minute mark.

  2. The buttons: rhythm found, Resume, Shock, adrenaline and amiodarone doses, the reversible causes, other drugs and events

    Tap it as it happens

Shocks, drugs, rhythms and events, each logged with its time.

  3. The log: each rhythm check, hands-off time, shock and drug with the time since the start

    The log, timed

The whole arrest in order, ready to copy into the notes.

Arrest Scribe Mode opened from the Handbook: the cycle clock running, a shock and drugs logged, the reversible causes ticked off as they are reviewed

Before you use it

  • For ALS-trained clinicians in a resuscitation team, alongside your training and local policies.
  • It records what the team does and computes nothing: the team leader makes every decision.
  • It is not a monitor or an alarm: do not rely on it to alert you.
  • Logs stay on your phone and are never sent to bleep.guide. Do not enter anything that identifies a patient.

On the free plan it shares a monthly allowance with the handbook; once that is used it will not open until the next month, so do not count on it in an emergency.
